REVIEW & GIVEAWAY - DeDa Studio

 *Unsolicted Review*

DeDa Studio
Fused Glass & Smelly Jellies

The Business
Behind multiple tidy and professional web fronts, on Facebook, Blogger, Etsy, and at her own domain, Dawn Wallace runs an equally professional and, at the same time, personal business offering one-of-a-kind fused glass jewelry and decorations, and long-lasting scented jellies for improving the comfort of any room.
Dawn presents herself and her business well.  She offers frequent deals and often can be found donating to the giveaways held by other businesses, helping others to gain attention and allowing her fans a chance at winning her great products for free.  She is polite and prompt when making business transactions, answering questions and getting any needed information regarding prices and shipping with little wait time, if any.  As I am in Canada, her Etsy shop was not set up to complete my order, but once I had let her know exactly what I wanted she sent an invoice my way.  She shipped my order very quickly and all the products arrived carefully packed and in perfect condition.
My completed order consisted of 3 Smelly Jellies and an already made bracelet.  I very much enjoyed making my order through her for both ease and enjoyablity and would be obliged to do so again in the future.

The Products
Fused Glass Jewelry
Dawn's design creativity is shown effectively through the jewelry she makes with vibrant and interesting combinations of colours.  Her jewelry is well-made... sturdy and clean.  All links are completely closed and there is no visible glue or adhesive joining the smooth bubbles of glass to their mounts.  Even when handled vigorously there were no rough areas or places to snag.  When presented to my art critic 3-year-old, the bracelet received rave reviews on the colours and level of 'sparkliness'.
When compared to similar products on the market, the fused glass bracelet that I received was lower than average cost, being less than $15 when other products made with similar materials usually were around $30.  Compared to the similar factory-made jewelry items in terms of quality, I would definitely say that this bracelet is better in both visual and physical aspects.

Smelly Jellies
A Smelly Jelly, explained simply, is a flame-free scented candle.  That alone is enough to catch my interest as having 3 cats and a 3-year-old and a fire burning anywhere in my house is something I'm not completely comfortable with!  The safety aspect of that alone was, in my opinion, well worth the $3.  Matching the volume of a Smelly Jelly with a scented candle, only the low-end candles would be able to come close, but if you then compare the life-span of both products: 3-6 hours for a scented candle, or 3-6 MONTHS for a Smelly Jelly, then you really get to see the value.
I have received the 'Sandalwood' and 'Vanilla' scents and have found them to be bold, but still very pleasant.  One of the three Smelly Jellies I ordered was intended for a friend.  Her scent was 'Sandalwood' but she also took a whiff of my vanilla and she was very pleased with how bold the scents were without being overpowering or chemical.  My friend, who regularly buys scented candles and incense, was amazed at the low price, and at the claim to the product's lifespan of 3-6 months.
After opening the jelly, all you are instructed to do is add a small bit of water to maintain the moisture and the scent.  You can be sure that 3 and 6 months from now I will do a re-review of these jellies to let you all know how they have fared for my friend and myself, though, I don't expect to be disappointed.
